Saturday Sum2 

Good morning to you all. Hope the weekend is starting all good? I trust it is. 

Last week I was tagged with a picture that I will like to welcome answers from. Although two answers were given and they both seem logical,I will like someone to really convince me of his or her answer. 

The question is

  1. The correct answer is 40.
    Lemme give the explanation.
    1 +5=6(it is the first sum with no previous sum. So 1+5=6 no story.
    2+5=7,then you will now add the previous sum which is 5 to get 12.
    3+6=9 then you now also add the previous sum which is 12 to get 21.
    So 8+11 =19,after which we will add the previous sum which is 21 to get 40.

    40 is the answer
